This past year we’ve been lucky to develop a great relationship with Dean
from Wildcat Mountain Farm. He’s been selling veggies starts for years at the various co-ops and neighborhood nurseries in town. This past winter he approached us and offered his help in developing our own start enterprise. Here we are!
This year we are only going to be selling starts at one retail location, Naomi’s Organic Farm Supply. We have no idea what to expect for sales so, with Dean’s help, we have concocted a fun and eclectic mix of vegetables for you to grow! We can also work with people to do special orders.
We are growing plants from exclusively organic seed sourced as regionally as possible. We are working with some of our favorite seed companies:
Uprising Organics- a family operated organic farm out of northern WA
Wild Garden Seed- a great Willamette valley seedsman and organic seed pioneer
Siskiyou Seed- a budding organic seed company from southern OR
to provide a good array of open-pollinated options that will not only bring great genetic regionally-adapted diversity to your yard but also support a small and growing network of seed stewards!
While not certified, we are using only organic potting mix and NO synthetic sprays of any kind. Unreliable lease situations are holding us back from certification but we hope, will soon be settled.
